Tilley Endurables is a Canadian hat company founded in 1980 by Alex Tilley. As an avid sailor, Tilly sought to make a "proper durable hat" suitable for a sailboat. A proper sailing had had to float, stay on, be unshrinkable, last indefenitely and look attractive.

Tilley received design advice from a milliner, information about materials from a sail-maker and then oversaw its manufacture by a local hat-maker. That was the true recipe of Tilley's success.

The crown of Airflo styles are made slightlyhigher so the top of the hat does not sit against the top of your had. The mesh in the crown allows your head to vent - letting warm air escape and cool breezes to flow back through the mesh. Airflo are made of lightweight fabric so it sits comfortably all day.

Designed with a medium brim that snaps up Aussie style, the Tilley Endurables LTM3 Airflo Hat features a 3/4-inch polyester mesh in the crown for coolness and comfort during hot days and strenuous activities. It's made from 100 percent supplex Tilley Nylamtium, a form of lightweight nylon that's both lightweight and resistant to water and mildew. The fabric has also been certified to block 98 percent of harmful UVA/UVB radiation and deliver an ultraviolet factor (UPF) of 50+.
