Having the collar any tighter can cause injury. On the flipside, a collar that is too loose might result in a surprise escape with a risk of losing your pet. A lost dog is not a happy dog.
In this case, please carefully choose a suitable collar for your pet and make sure it's comfortably tight around his/her neck and you can fit two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck.
How to Choose a Suitable Size Collar for Your Pet?
- Measure the circumference of your dog's neck with a soft tape measure
- Make sure to measure your dog’s neck when they are standing up
- Make sure you can fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck
- Please refer to the below size chart to get a suitable size dog collar
Note:
- Regularly use the two-finger rule to check the collar to make sure it is not too loose or too tight
- If your pet is close to the size limit, go up in size
