Sunco’s popular LED Disk Downlights are designed for a streamlined, clean and modern look with frosted covers. Disks fit in narrow ceiling spaces or inside recessed cans. Our low wattage Disk Downlights are versatile and install quickly by following our simple manual instructions.

There are two mounting options to suit any project. Sunco Disks are compatible with Recessed Cans – Easily adjust to fit 5” or 6” cans with the included spring clips and J-Box Surface Mounted Technique – Use the provided holes to adjust to different sized junction boxes. The Disk includes a TP24 connector and spring clips, plus wire nuts and screws. You’ll need to add your own J-Box or recessed can in order to complete the setup. With a J-Box added, the entire thing is super streamlined. You can fit it in narrow ceilings with ease.

Sunco Disk Downlights offer a CRI 90+ for an accurate color rendering of your space. High CRI provides an immersive visual experience to render the colors in your space bright and vibrant while accenting textures. The CRI provides great natural color whichever color temperature you choose.

Disk Downlights feature a very wide flood beam angle of 90-degrees to light a large area. Wide floodlights generate a softer, more diffused light ideal in both home or office lighting. Use them in bedroom, kitchen, living areas, offices, hallways, elevator lobbies, and entrance halls for soft, even downlight. These LED lights are dimmable to enhance the control you have over a room’s light quality.

How do I direct wire the Sunco Disk Downlight to my junction box?

What LED driver is in your Disk Downlights?

Our Disk Downlight operates on a constant current to keep the LED at the exact voltage it requires.

How do I secure this LED Disk downlight to an existing can?

Our LED downlight products include an installation guide to help you with the install process. In general, retrofit LED downlights secure to a can via spring connectors that clip into existing holes in the can. Simply attach the downlight spring clips to the interior of the can. Allow the clips to pull the LED trim up to the fixture. Push gently until the outer edge is flush with the ceiling.

Why is moisture rating important and what does Damp Rated mean?

The term damp rated in our product descriptions and technical specifications refer to moisture ratings. Safety should be the main focus when you choose damp rated light bulbs. Since water is a conductor you want to eliminate accidental electrocution to protect the people who install and use light fixtures, including your family, visitors, and clients. Damp rating refers to moist locations with no direct exposure to water. Damp environments include kitchens, bathrooms (not in shower or tub), basements, and some saunas. Sunco indicates the moisture rating in our technical specifications so you know our products meet set standards. What are warm lights or cool lights? What about color temperature?

Color temperatures are measured in degrees of Kelvin (K) on a scale from 1,000 to 10,000. This measurement allows you to describe the quality of a light. Commercial and residential lighting applications typically use from 2000K to 65000K color temperatures. Lower color temperatures offer a warmer look. They are more amber, yellow, or a warm white. High color temperatures offer a cooler look. They range from white to blue to blueish silver. Light can help create a mood or define room ambiance. You can recognize color temperatures in the world around you once you have a general understanding of them. Here are some basics to help with that: Candlelight - 2200K, Morning Sun – 2000K to 3000K, Middday (noon to 1p.m.) or Daylight - 5000K to 6000K, Evening Sun – less than 2000K
