100% Safe alternative

Our BIOBU bamboo fibre eco-composite is made with the sawdust from chopstick factories. It’s ground to a powder and mixed with a food-grade melamine binding resin which makes it durable and dishwasher safe! All our products undergo regular and rigorous testing to ensure they are free of toxins like BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Lead, Cadmium and Mercury*. Features a premium matte finish; No varnish, coating nor paint on the surface of our products, so they’ll never fade, peel or leach harmful chemicals.

Sustainable material

EKOBO’s BIOBU bamboo fibre products are responsibly-sourced from FSC-certified bamboo*. EKOBO chose bamboo because it is one of our Earth’s most renewable resources. It is a fast-growing, naturally-regenerative woody grass which flourishes organically without any pesticides, fertilizers or herbicides. It can be continuously harvested every 3 years without damaging the plant nor the environment.

EKOBO’s founders, Bruno and Boo Louis, launched the brand 15 years ago because they couldn’t find non-plastic, BPA free dishware for their first daughter. Now a family of 5, they remain devoted to designing objects that are safe and eco-responsible.
