How to make Chicken Pasta
1. Heat the oven to 375ºF.
2. Dice 1 bell pepper and 1 onion, mince 3 garlic cloves. Shred 3 cups of cheddar cheese. Drain the can of tomatoes. Cook and drain 1-pound of spaghetti. Shred the chicken.
3. Make the sauce. Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the onion, the bell pepper, and garlic and cook until the garlic is fragrant. Add 1/4 cup flour, 2 cups milk, 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth, and 2 teaspoons kosher salt. Stir in 2 cups of the cheese until melted.
4. Toss the tomatoes, chicken, and spaghetti in Sweese‘s baking dish. Pour the sauce over top and mix. Sprinkle more cheese on top.
5. Bake about 20 minutes until the cheese is changing color.
