At the core Back-A-Line's patented technology is a firm lumbar pad, curved and grooved to bridge the spine snugly within a non-elastic belt. Your spine adjusts to the curve of the pad, providing dynamic muscle support and proprioceptive feedback to naturally improve posture, reduce spinal loading and ease back pain and fatigue. DIRECTIONS: Place the lumbar pad in the small of your back. If your waist is smaller than hips, wear with the belt flaps meeting at your waistline and the washing label facing up. Pull snug. If your waist bigger than hips, flip the support upside down with the washing label facing down and belt flaps meeting diagonally about 4” under your navel. Lift your belly and attach the Velcro flaps. Let your belly weight fall into non-stretch belt, tightening the support and lessening stress on the spine. INDICATIONS: Back-A-Line is not for everyone. Those with spinal anomalies – scoliosis, spinal fusion, kyphotic posture, spinal stenosis, advanced arthritis – may NOT be able to adjust their spine to the curve of the lumbar pad, making it somewhat uncomfortable and ineffective. There is no harm in trying, but unless your spine has enough flexibility to accommodate a lordosis, the belt cannot provide effective support. Skin irritation may occur with direct contact. Persons with known susceptibility to dermatitis or with broken skin should wear the support over clothing. FIT: Back-A-Line fits most men and many women, but not all. Back-A-Line fits people with (A) Waist smaller than hips AND waist smaller than ribcage; (B) Waist larger than hips. Back-A-Line does NOT fit people with (C) Waist smaller than hips AND ribcage same or smaller than waist (e.g., some pear-shaped women.) (D) Waist circumference is a lot smaller than hip circumference (e.g., the waist-hip differential is greater than 12”. **CARE** Machine wash, air dry. Do not machine dry.
