Drain thread required for installation. Make sure your drain has a drain thread that is 3/8" or 5/8" (both sizes provided in packaging).

Measure your drain with a measuring tape to make sure it is 1.5" wide and 1.25" deep to ensure compatibility.

Access the detachable basket that catches all the hairy gunk and never clog your drain again with these easy steps:

TURN, LIFT & CLICK:

1. Hold the cap, (without pressing the buttons) and turn clockwise until you hear a sharp click. The click indicates the assembly is unlocked and ready to be removed.

2. Lift Basket & Cap assembly up to remove from drain.

3. Press and click the two side buttons to release the basket.

When waterflow noticeably slows down, remove the basket and dump all that residue in the trash and reuse you're Bathtub Drain Strain, or simply replace the basket. Invert the steps listed above to put it back in place.
 

Installing the Bathtub DrainStain is simple and only takes a minute! Just follow these instructions and you're good to go:

1. REMOVE OLD DRAIN STOPPER
Remove the drain plug currently in your tub.

2. ATTACH ADAPTER NUT TO ADAPTER STEM
Hand screw Adapter Nut onto the base of the Adapter Stem. If adapter assembly doesn't install properly into the drain thread, switch nut and try again.

3. INSTALL ADAPTER STEM
Insert Adapter Stem into drain thread and hand tighten. Slide Tightening Tool down completely over the stem and use flathead screwdriver to firmly tighten Adapter Stem into the drain.

4. ATTACH BASKET TO CAP
Locate the slots on the underside of the Cap. Insert the basket clips into these slots and push up. When you hear a light click, the Basket is attached. It will hang loosely from the Cap.


5. INSTALL BASKET & CAP ASSEMBLY IN DRAIN
Gently drop Basket and Cap assembly onto installed Adapter Stem in drain.


6. LOCK BASKET & CAP ASSEMBLY IN DRAIN
Hold the cap, without pressing the buttons, and turn CLOCKWISE. Turn until you hear a sharp click. The click indicates the assembly is in a locked position.
