How to Use Our Laundry Powder
For a normal load, add 1 Tablespoon of Laundry Powder directly to the drum of your washer (yep, even if you have an HE machine with a detergent drawer!) It will fall through the holes in the drum — and that’s a good thing! This helps the water mix with the powder to provide a thorough wash. For heavily soiled, stinky loads, add up to 1 full additional scoop.
Helpful Tip: Don’t forget to use warm water for your loads. Cold water (under 70 degrees) may not dissolve the Laundry Powder completely.
Our Story
Molly’s Suds began when founder and CEO, Monica, unexpectedly lost her daughter Molly, at birth. In the midst of her grief, she began investigating the potential causes for this loss, as she had 3 other children. Her research led her to the chemicals used in common household products — and especially those in laundry products. Mothers pass these chemicals to their babies via pregnancy and breast milk, which can lead to loss, health complications, or future issues.
Monica began to replace the harmful chemical-laden goods in her home with natural, safe alternatives. The only thing she couldn’t find a good replacement for? Laundry detergent! So, she formulated her own, created with only safe, natural ingredients that offer quality cleaning with the utmost integrity regarding the health of our families and environment.
Our company is dedicated to Molly. Her footprints on our packaging are there to remind us that our products will always be safe for everyone, even the tiniest family members

Our Laundry Powder formula does not create sudsing in the wash. Don’t worry though — our Laundry Powder cleans just as effectively without the suds! Remember, bubbles are nothing more than air and air doesn’t clean anything. The true cleaners of your laundry are temperature, water, agitation, and laundry powder. Despite our brand name, all our laundry care products are low suds!

Did you know that HE machines work best when you use no-suds laundry products? The bubbles from suds interfere with the sensors in your HE machine, cutting it’s lifespan nearly in half or resulting in expensive part replacement. If you’ve got an HE machine, choose a bubble-free laundry detergent!

Our Laundry Powder is pure enough to be used for everyone, including the littlest members of the family. Our formula is designed to be 100% safe for:
- Newborns
- Those with chemical sensitivities
- The immunocompromised
- Those with skin conditions such as dermatitis or eczema
Allergic to peppermint essential oil? You may want to choose our unscented Laundry Powder instead.
Hard and Soft Water
Your water pH plays a big role in your laundry care process. Hard water is full of minerals, which work to block the cleaning power of detergents. Add a bit more Laundry Powder to your load, as well as a splash of white vinegar to help break up those minerals. If you have soft water, consider using slightly less detergent than recommended. Your laundry product goes much further in soft water!

The Tough Stuff - How to Get Out StainsStains on your clothing? Don’t just throw it in the washing machine — pretreat! First, flip the garment over and run it under cool water to push the stain back out of the clothing fibers. Next, make a paste of the Laundry Powder by adding a little water to a sprinkling of detergent. Brush this paste gently into the clothing fibers. Rinse and repeat if necessary. Do not put a stained garment in a dryer, as it will set the stain and make it nearly impossible to remove. |
