Description
Machine screw anchors feature a zinc coned portion at the end of a lead sleeve that is pulled up, expanding the sleeve, as a screw or bolt is tightened into the internal threads of the anchor. To install a machine screw anchor properly, first, a hole must be drilled into the masonry material. The anchor is placed into that hole and the included setting tool is used to set it in place properly. This is done by inserting the peg of the set tool into the anchor, lining up the outer diameters of the tool and the anchor, and then striking the back of the tool with a hammer. This sets the anchor snugly in place so that the screw or bolt being used can pull the bottom wedge up properly.
