Freeride Directional Shape

Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.

10mm Taper

A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow floatation. Look for different amounts of taper throughout the line.

This flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.

When it comes to protecting our playground, we’re keyed in on action and advocacy. We're aiming to achieve a 20% reduction in carbon emissions and divert 75% of our waste from the landfill by 2020 at global headquarters. The Burton US Open has been carbon neutral since 2017 and will be zero waste by 2020. And we're doubling our repairs to reach at least 40% of our repair claims. Most importantly, we use our momentum to set an example and speak out on policy issues that impact our people and the environment.

Improving the sustainability of our products has three points of entry: softgoods, hardgoods, and packaging. Aiming to meet the highest level of safety and environmental responsibility, by design year 2020 (the Winter 2022 product season) all of our softgoods will be bluesign approved, contain only sustainable cotton, use zero biocides, and less water. We’ll reduce carbon emissions by 20% in the production of our hardgoods, and package up our products with only recyclable materials.

Burton has a responsibility to protect the people and playground that sustain snowboarding and the mountain lifestyle.
