This kit includes the basics you need to touch up large paint scratches.
Each spray can contains up to six square feet of paint coverage. If you're painting bare metal, you'll need to order a PaintScratch Primer Spray Can.
- 12 oz. Basecoat Spray Can
- 12 oz. Clearcoat Spray Can
- 2 oz. Cutting Creme (rubbing compound)
DIRECTIONS
- Preparation Wear protective clothing. Keep products away from children and work in a well ventilated space.
- Practice & Test Make sure the color matches. Practice on a large test surface, allow to dry, then repeat 2-3x. Once dry, compare the color to your vehicle.
- Clean Damaged Area We recommend using our Wax & Grease Remover.
- Tape off the damaged section Use masking tape and paper to protect area surrounding the damage.
- Sand the area Sand the area to create an even surface, then wetsand with Cutting Creme to smooth.
- Primer If painting over bare metal, apply 2-3 thin coats of PaintScratch Primer and let it dry between layers. Wetsand the area to create a smooth surface.
- Basecoat Spray thin coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry completely.
- Sand flat When dry, use the Cutting Creme, then clean the area with a clean wet rag and finish with a tack rag.
- Clearcoat When dry, apply Clearcoat. Practice before using it on your vehicle.
- Polish Allow 3 days to dry completely. Then use Cutting Creme to polish the area until it shines!
Automotive paint is very hazardous. Keep away from children. Do not use any of the products until you have read and understand the product directions and warnings. We recommend rubber gloves, chemical respirator, safety goggles and to work in a well ventilated area. Please store the materials in a safe place.
