Meguiar’s 6” DA Microfiber Cutting Disc 12-pack employs advanced microfiber technology to quickly and effectively cut through moderate surface defects in OEM paint without leaving behind further swirls. Ideal for removing common below surface defects like scratches, etchings, stains, swirls and hologram while enhancing depth of shine. These premium discs are engineered with a specialized foam interface for optimal cutting efficiency and controlled conformability while also working the abrasives in evenly for consistent results. Optimized for use with Meguiar’s 6” DA Backing Plate – DBP6, da polisher like Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher and Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Correction Compound D300. The 6” size allows for great control and results, and they are machine washable making them reusable. For best results, follow with Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Disc and Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Wax D301 to further refine paint and apply protection.

Tips for best results when using Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Cutting Discs

To achieve the best results, always work on a cool surface and in the shade.
Wash and dry the vehicle with a premium automotive was like Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner G7101FFP. If the paint isn’t too dirty clean with a spray detailer like Meguiar’s Last Touch Spray Detailer.
Evaluate the paint. Use Meguiar’s Professional Detailing Clay C2000 with Last Touch Spray Detailer (diluted 1:1) to remove bonded contaminants like overspray or fall out.
For optimum results use the DA Microfiber Cutting Disc with the appropriate backing plate (3” DBP3, 5” DBP5, 6” DBP6), Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Correction Compound D300 and da polisher like Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
Prime disc by distributing the DA Microfiber Correction Compound D300 thin and evenly over the entire pad.
Set the da polisher to 4,800 OPM’s and place disc flat on the painted surface.

Work a 2’ x 2’ area. Start with 2-3 passes of moderate pressure followed by 2-3 passes of light pressure over the same area.
Remove residue before it dries with a clean Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel.
Repeat on all areas of the vehicle as needed.
For maximum cutting ability it’s important to frequently clean discs using compressed air or a pad cleaning brush.
If more cut is needed use a Meguiar’s DA Microfiber XTra Cut Disc with the DA Microfiber Correction Compound.

Options after removing defects

Option 1: Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Wax D301 with a Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Disc to further refine the paint and apply protection.
