Here are some tips to help make your cool rack work best and last for many years:
1. Before using, baste the surface with 2-3 Tbls. melted butter and bake for 5 minutes at 150 degrees in the oven, then remove from the oven and wipe off any residual butter with a paper towel.
2. Let the cooling rack return to room temperature, and gently clean both sides of the rack with a little dish detergent and a soft sponge, and wipe dry with a dish towel or paper towel.
3. Put the drying rack into the oven which is still slightly hot after baking, when it is entirely dry, it can be stored.
