Two ways to secure CURT cambuckle cargo straps allow for direct tension on the load and are intended for lighter items. Ratchet straps, on the other hand, can be tightened down for much greater tension on heavier items.	Built-in hooks Each CURT cargo strap is equipped with two large hooks to easily clasp onto a tie-down anchor or other anchoring point. Unlike rope, there is no need for tedious knots or fear of untying during travel.	High-strength material Both our cambuckle cargo straps and ratchet straps are made from high-strength, woven nylon to be extremely durable. Each cargo strap is also thoroughly tested to a specific work load limit for safety.	Rust-resistant components The cambuckle and ratcheting mechanisms are shielded in a durable yellow zinc plating to protect against rust. The hooks are also covered in a zinc plating or rubber coating to outlast rust.

J-hooks offer the advantage of keeping the cargo strap perpendicular to the hook to eliminate twisting. J-hooks are used only on our ratchet straps.	Flat hooks Ratchet strap flat hooks are a unique, heavy-duty hook style. They are constructed from a bent metal plate rather than a wire, providing superior holding strength on heavy loads. The flat design also allows them to sit more flush against the anchoring surface.
