The Dongle Dangler is a KEYCHAIN accessory designed to securely hold your Apple Lightning or USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter cable (dongle*).
How We Got to This Point
- When Apple and other phone manufacturers decided to remove the headphone jack from their phones they created a problem.
- In order to fix the problem, they provide an audio adapter cable with each phone to allow continued use of wired headphones and aux cables.
- BUT, the audio adapter cable is small, easy to misplace, frequently missing when needed, and relatively expensive to replace.
- The Dongle Dangler helps you keep your audio adapter cable with you so you are never without your music.
Here's What You Get
- 2 Dongle Dangler keychain accessories
- 2 Half-inch, metal split key rings
- Peace of mind knowing your dongle is out of danger
Even though you see fingers, keys on a keychain, a Dongle Dangler, and a cable in the product photo; don't be confused, you will NOT be receiving any fingers, keys on a keychain, or a cable with your Dongle Dangler purchase.
*What's a Dongle?
A dongle is the band-aid of hardware. It's meant to make up for gaps in functionality or to add functionality.
The audio adapter cable that comes with phones that are missing the headphone jack is considered a dongle. The audio adapter dongle allows wired headphones to still be used. It does this by converting the 3.5mm plug (found on the end of a headphone wire) into a Lightning or USB-C connector that can plug into a phone.
