ARpedia is an interactive smart book and app for children. It extends the ordinary reading experience beyond the pages and allows users to interact with educational content, add self-created content to the story and engage in various activities.

How does ARpedia work?

The ARpedia app, reading device (SPOTTY) and books are designed to work together. SPOTTY scans pages of the book and interactive digital contents appear on the scrren. Compatible tablets and mobile devices are listed on our product description page.

What makes ARpedia different from ordinary paper books?

Augmented reality (AR) and AI technology on the ARpedia app amplifies and enriches the ordinary reading experience. Readers interact with digital content, add self-created content to the story and engage in various activities.

What is SPOTTY?

SPOTTY is a reading device and base made especially for ARpedia. This camera embedded device scans pages of a paper book and allows users to engage with augmented reality educational content hands free (which is different from other AR reading apps).

If I already bought SPOTTY, can I just purchase books separately next time?

Yes, SPOTTY is compatible with all books from our collection. Once you have your own SPOTTY, you can use it with any book from the ARpedia series to continue the ARpedia experience.
