Single Ply Yarn and Long Fibers: We use single-ply yarn because it produces fine and strong threads. It is spun using long-staple cotton fibers which result in light, soft, yet extremely long-lasting sheets. Other cotton sheets have multi-ply yarns, group of weaker fibers twisted together to create a false strength. They use mostly lower-grade, shorter-staple cotton fibers, which result in thicker, coarser and heavier threads.

Finest Threads: The fine thread spun from single-ply, long-staple cotton is responsible for the most luxurious sheets. The finer the thread, the smoother, lighter and softer the resulting fabric. By using single-ply, long-staple cotton, we are able to construct EnvioHome sheets using only 60 and 60 yarn count threads, the finest available for cotton bedding.

Thread Count: EnvioHome pillowcases are 250 thread count. Thread count is the number of threads woven together in a square inch of fabric. As the thread count rises, the fabric becomes softer, denser and warmer. A higher thread count does not necessarily mean a higher quality facric. Thread counts advertised in excess of 500 are often misrepresented by sellers in order to trick customers. They count not just each thread, but each ply spun together within each thread. As multi-ply construction is often used to strengthen lower-grade cotton, a super high thread count can actually indicate the presence of a lower-quality sheet.

Shrinkage of Pillowcases: Standardized process is used to make sure that shrinkage of these pillowcases is controlled and stay within the tolerance levels. These pillowcases tend to shrink upto +/- 4% after first wash.
