*Pro-tip: Always shake your paint pens real well every time you use them, also have a piece of test paper or material to check the flow and consistency. If the flow and consistency are not correct. Then simply shake your pen up a little more till it is just right. The ink should be a nice opaque color - if it is not it just needs to be shaken more.

STEP 1 : Shake Pen Thoroughly and Pump Ink

First step in using your Barolla paint pens is shaking them for a good minute or so to mix the paint/ink really well. Then once thoroughly shaken, press the nib on a hard surface to pump the ink into the nib. Do this up and down pump several times till the ink flows to the pen's nib tip.

STEP 2: Test Out With Lines and Fills

Once ink is filled in the nib, test your pen for flow and consistency. If the color is not opaque, then shake the pen with cap on once again and repeat.

* Pro-tip: rotate the nib a couple times in this process to get great consistency. We include a free nib tool with Barolla Paint Pens so your hands don't get paint on them. If you do though, our paint washes off fingers very easily with just soap and water.

Step 3: Cap Your Barolla Pen

When done using always make sure to remember to cap your pen. When you put the cap back on, you will feel it snap. That snap means the cap is on correct.
