A ONE-OF-A-KIND SPICE
It’s not very easy to describe the exact taste of allspice, but its name offers an obvious clue. Allspice, contrary to popular belief, isn’t actually a combination of spices. It is one spice in itself, but with the combined flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pepper. This makes allspice, otherwise known as Jamaican pepper or pimenta, a truly complex flavor on its own.
