This tight microfilament is a breathable, nonwoven fabric that provides a protective barrier against bed bugs, dust mites, and other allergens. Washing the pillow protector only makes it softer and will not remove its efficacy. EVOLON fabric can withstand repeated washings up to 203 degrees Fahrenheit (95 degrees Celsius). Installation Recommendations
When selecting a Sleep-Safe ZipCover Evolution pillow protector, you will need to know the dimensions of your pillow. Our pillow protectors come in a variety of sizes, including: USA Standard 21" x 27", USA Queen 21" x 31", USA King 21" x 37", UK (United Kingdom) Standard 50 cm x 75 cm , Euro Square 65 cm x 65 cm, and Euro Square 85 cm x 85 cm. There are also two packs available for the USA Standard 21" x 27", USA Queen 21" x 31", and USA King 21" x 37".
Before first use, it is recommended to machine wash the pillow protector (fully zipped up) in warm water and to tumble dry it at a medium heat setting. This will increase the fabric softness and take it from a slightly stiff feel to a suede-like texture. If there is a bed bug infestation, DO NOT REMOVE the pillow protector unless there are doubled protectors. Bed bugs should remain inside the protector for at least 5 months so that the insects and eggs die from lack of food and water. In addition to encasing pillows and mattresses, we suggest covering the box springs with our Sleep-Safe ZipCovers Encasements for full protection.
