Allulose Usage Guide
Allulose is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and mostly passed through it. It is instead fermented by intestinal microflora in the colon. Similar to eating too much fiber, eating excess amounts of allulose can result in unpleasant symptoms such as flatulence, abdominal discomfort or diarrhea.
The maximum daily amount that is not causing side-effects has been found to be 0.55 g/kg of body weight.
An adult weighing 150 LB, can therefore safely consume about 37.5 g, 1.3 oz or 9 tsp of pure allulose per day.
Here are some more values of how much allulose one can safely consume depending on the body weight:
120 LB => 1.06 oz or about 7 tsp *** 130 LB => 1.15 oz or about 8 tsp
145 LB => 1.28 oz or about 9 tsp *** 160 LB => 1.41 oz or about 10 tsp
180 LB => 1.59 oz or about 11 tsp *** 195 LB => 1.72 oz or about 12 tsp
