Wire rope ferrule assembly and warning

Please comply with all instructions for proper ferrule/cable assemblies! Three crimps per 1/8”, 3/16” and 1/4” ferrule, one crimp per 1/16th ferrule. See figure 2. One crimp per stop.

WARNING!

Never use cable assemblies with ferrules in overhead lifting, heavy equipment hauling or towing. Do not use in any situation where a failure may jeopardize a person’s safety or result in property damage, bodily injury, or DEATH.
For use on galvanized steel cable only, do not use with vinyl coated cable.
A ferrule/cable assembly secured by hammer is not designed for load bearing operations. Secure ferrules and stops with an approved “swaging” or an approved “Crimping” tool.
Stops are not designed for load bearing applications.
Do not exceed the safe working load of any application
Use the proper sized ferrule and stop to cable. See figure 1.
Use stops to close the cut end of cable or for cable location markers.
Always inspect cable assemblies frequently to insure safe and proper conditions
