The EIMA art tools brand is developed and created by artist Elaine W Duree and husband; the company, Elemental Imagery developed after they moved their family to Hawaii, they stayed for two years. The colors, sunshine, air and aloha spirit inspired them to build a brand around ten elements; either, water, star, stone, wood, light, earth, air, fire and metal. These ten elements are pencil drawn by Elaine in the logo and each of the brands art tools are branded with EIMA, pronounced “I’m a” referencing I AM the two most powerful words of creation.
EIMA art tools, four in the current brands array, each represent one of the elements; Soft Core Wood Colored Pencils are EIMA wood as they are made of wood. Water Color Pencils are EIMA water as they are used with water. Pastel Pencils are EIMA fire as they are charcoal. The Watercolor Pan set, also an EIMA water, used with water.
The signature EIMA product is the Soft Core Wood Color Pencils, Elaine was insistent on finding a product that compared in quality to todays student and master artists preferred pencil brand, Prismacolor. She found it and the reviews came in, they are extra soft, described as buttery in laydown. The watercolor tin has rich pigment and a barrel brush, everyone is delighted when dipping the brush into the rich pigment and find it a quality pan set, color cakes have been individually wrapped. The watercolor pencils prove to have an equal rich color laydown and the two watercolor tools can be used together to create master works of art. The pastels are a sketching tool, the colors blend together well and charcoal artist enjoy the color options. We invite you to increase skill and talent, using them all.
Each product-packaging image is hand drawn by artist Elaine using the product tool and is infused with light life and love. Elaine teaches a course to artists of all levels on how to put light life and love into works of art, drawn from within, freeing the imagination. The product art was shared via social media as the brand was created; friends and family voted on the drafts shared, it was exciting and fun to involve others in the process.
Dan and Elaine’s four children love the EIMA art tools, the family draw together often as a chosen family and individual pastime, with drawing, coloring and painting as part of the families lifestyle it will be exciting to see what careers the children choose.
The colors of the pencils bare names of the elements: Red Lava, Orange Sunset, Yellow Star, Green Air, Blue Water, Purple Galaxy, Pink Quartz, Peach Beach, Brown Earth, Grey Stone, White Light and Black Night and the basic twelve color names. The succeeding colors are Carnelian, Aurora, Coral, Sand, Neon, Sunrise, Kryptonite, Einsteinium, Ice, Orbit, Gold and Silver. As the brand expands more color names are to emerge.
The EIMA line is a quality art tool; all the pencils have been left unsharpened, as artists can be particular about sharpening preferences. We recommend using sharpeners made for each particular tool. Elaine uses a few different sharpeners, the colored pencils and watercolor pencils can be sharpened with an electric sharpener and a hand held. Artist know they pay for product and do not like to waste color leads, Elaine prefers a sharpening tool that takes the wood down first then sharpens the leads for all the pencils. Pastel Pencils cannot be used in electric sharpeners. Please do your research around sharpening artist tools to find your personal preferences. Artists sharpening tools often include a blade knife and sanding blocks.
The married team plans to grow the EIMA art tool brand; expanding beyond four tools, increasing pencil sets from 12/24/36/48/72/96 and 150 pencil packs and adding a blending pencil. Elaine also envisions creating pencil color packs based on the elements; each tool to have color pack combos around the ten elements. These future expansions are in line with the brands mission to support artists to grow their talents and skill, to honor the art of drawn by hand, and to see artists throughout the world, color the world with light life and love. To grow the brand we hope you will purchase the tool, use it and share your works of art on social media and join the EIMA Artist community on Facebook/groups/EIMAARTIST.
