What is the best way to get the handprint or footprint of my child easily?
The age of your child will determine the best method for getting their prints. Older children should be able to do it themselves as Isaac is doing in our pictures. For younger children it might be easier to press the clay onto their hand rather than pressing their hand into the clay. Regardless of age the key is to ensure that the clay is soft and supple so give the clay a good needing before you attempt to obtain the imprint.
How long does it take for the clay to dry and how can I dry it properly?
Good things come to those who wait! It is recommended that you leave the clay to dry for 24 hours at room temperature and then turn it over and allow the back to dry for other 24 hours. This is the best way to avoid the risk of any cracks developing if it dries too quickly and ensures that the clay is dry enough to stick to the adhesive pad.
Can I have my child’s name on the frame?
There is a section below the photograph where you can put your child’s name.
