The precision-formed silicon carbide abrasives used in Griot's Garage BOSS Finishing Paper have been developed by Nikken, a global leader in abrasive manufacturing, to be sharper and more consistent in size than those found on regular sandpaper.

Useful Instructions:

Select the least aggressive grit you'll need to do the job. Prepare BOSS Finishing Paper by placing in Ultimate Wash Bucket filled with water and 1 ounce of Car Wash. Seal bucket with supplied lid. Should immediate work be required, soak in hot water for at least 5 minutes. Wrap BOSS Finishing Paper around an appropriate sandpaper backing pad to ensure even pressure on surface

This ensures shallow sanding marks which are quickly removed via polishing, saving time and effort while also minimizing the amount of paint thickness loss. Latex Backing Provides Long Soak Times The waterproof latex backing allows for ultra long soak times. This allows you to always keep your sand paper ready for use.	Lubricity Is Key! Using a spray bottle filled with water and a drop or two of our Super Concentrated Car Wash, spray the surface of the paint and the sand paper. This gives the ideal amount of lubrication during use. Occasionally flush the surface as well as the paper. This will remove any clear coat or paint that is embedding into the sand paper.	Use Light Pressure And Short Even Strokes Work the paper with a sanding block. Use flat diagonal strokes with little pressure. When you move to the next sanding step, work in an opposite diagonal direction. This will give you a better idea of how the sanding process is progressing. Use caution around the panel edges, as these areas are typically thinner.


Polish The Paint Back To Perfection Bring uniform gloss back into your paint finish by removing all of the sanding marks. Using a polish or compound of your choice, polish the area that was sanded. Depending on the polisher being used, this may take a few passes.	Let Your Work Shine Through! Once you've polished out the sanding scratches, you will be rewarded with an ultra-flat super glossy finish.
