The ascot tie is a forerunner and a variation of today’s modern necktie. It is a type of tie that looks like a cross between a necktie and a silk scarf that can be worn around the neck. Unlike the modern necktie, the ascot has two ends of the same width and length. It is easier to tie with a regular knot and is more comfortable to wear than a regular tie.

The ascot dates back to 19th century Britain, and it was originally named after the exclusive horse race event known as “The Royal Ascot” - an event where men had to wear this type of tie in combination with a special jacket (also known as a morning coat). The upper classes also commonly wore an ascot tie when vacationing at remote holiday villas, as it provided a great balance between a formal and casual outfit.

The inspiration for the design of our ascot pattern was the clock mechanism. We initially designed over 150 different patterns, from which we selected the best seven. We then focused on the color palette. When it comes to the color of the fabric, we had in mind that the ascot has to match different colours of jackets and suits. We designed our ascot tie with love and precision, as we wanted to create the perfect product for respectable men around the world.
