15-Amp Self-Test LED Light Indicator Tmaper & Weather Resistant GFCI Outlets from AIDA
Always Safe for Every Home
Auto-Monitoring
By conducting an internal test to confirm that the GFCI is providing protection, the Self-Test GFCIs offer an added layer of protection from electrical shocks due to hazardous ground-faults.
If the GFCI outlet detects electrical ground faults, one or more of the following will occur:
- Power will be denied (trip with the inability to reset)
- Trip with the ability to reset, subject to the next auto-monitoring test cycle or repeatedly trip
- Visual and/or audible indication
Reset/Test Buttons
Manually test the GFCI by clicking the TEST and RESET buttons. If the GFCI if is functioning, the TEST button will trip the device and then the GFCI will turn on after clicking the buttons respectively.
LED Light Indicator
LED indictors on the device face provide simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status.
Miswired
If you miswired the GFCI, it may not prevent personal injuries or death due to a ground fault (electrical shock).
If you mistakenly connect the Line wires to the Load terminals, the GFCI will provide no power.
Troubleshooting
Turn the power OFF and check the wire connections against the appropriate wiring diagram. Make sure that there are no loose wires or connections.
It’s possible that you reversed the Line/Load connections, LINE/LOAD reversal will be indicated by power remaining OFF at the GFCI Face and by the RESET button not staying in. Reverse the LINE/Load connections if necessary. Start the TEST from the the beginning if you rewired any connections to the GFCI.
