Cooler color temperatures, like 4000K and 5000K, in contrast, are associated with daylight and are better suited in rooms used for work or exercise, like a laundry room or home office.

Color Rendering Index (CRI)

CRI is a quantitative measure of how accurately an LED light source can reveal the true colors of various objects compared to a natural light source. The higher the CRI rating the truer the colors are. All of the DLR56-3008's have a 90+ rating provided the most accurate and rich colors throughout a room.

Wet Location Rated

All DLR56-3008's are UL Wet and Damp Location rated (UL certification E348613). These lights can be installed in outdoor areas where they might be subjected to the elements, rain, snow or heavy fog. This also makes them great for shower placement.

Installation is Quick and Easy


Step 1 Remove and discard the mounting bracket/plate from inside the housing. Place the 'Modified Fixture' sticker on the inside of the housing.	Step 2 Screw in the Edison connector to the Edison base inside the housing. A GU-24 adapter is also available for housings with a GU-24 base.	Step 3 Connect the Ideal or Molex adapter to the DLR56.	Step 4 Using both hands, squeeze the torsion springs together while inserting the DLR56 into the housing. Release the springs, allow them to catch in the housing, then push the DLR56 flush with the ceiling.

The NICOR DLR56 (800 Lumen Series) is a 5-inch/6-inch recessed LED downlight that’s ideal for retrofitting both 5-inch or 6-inch remodel and new construction housings. This integrated LED retrofit light is the perfect solution for replacing existing recessed trims and light bulbs with the latest energy efficient LED fixture. This fully dimmable recessed downlight is designed for easy plug and play installation. The DLR56 is equipped with a medium E26/E27 (Edison) socket base adapter and an IDEAL quick connect adapter to work with newer LED housings. There’s no special wiring required for the dimmer, and installation can be performed right out of the box. There are no other parts or pieces to buy. It’s that simple. In terms of quality, the DLR56 was designed to be extremely energy efficient without sacrificing the quality of materials or LED light output quality.
