TotalBoat Wet Edge 1-part, marine-grade polyurethane topside paint makes it easy to get a hard, high-gloss finish with superior resistance to UV damage, abrasion, and stains. It's also flexible enough to withstand all the movement (flexing, expansion, contraction) hulls & other topside surfaces typically undergo in ever-changing weather conditions, making it very resilient & durable. There's a color here to please just about everyone: (Top to bottom) Sand Beige, Kingston Gray, Flag Blue, Bristol Beige, Fighting Lady Yellow, Blu-Glo White, Sea Foam, Black, Sea Green, White, Fire Red, Largo Blue, Yellow, Hatteras Off-White, and Classic Whaler Blue. It also comes in Off-White, Oyster White, and Aqua Mist. If you want a custom color, you can blend different Wet Edge colors to create your own. Wet Edge is preferred for its high-gloss finish, but a few colors are also available in a flat finish. Available in Pints, Quarts, and Gallons. Pints are perfect for painting boot stripes.

Maintaining a "wet edge" is just paint talk for applying paint starting in the unpainted area and moving back into the just-painted area in order to avoid lap marks. TotalBoat Wet Edge comes in two formulas that ensure success keeping a wet edge in a range of temperatures. Wet Edge: 50-90°F & Wet Edge Cold Cure: 45-70°F. Each order includes gloves & painting tools to let you dive right in.

Brushing For better flow out when brushing, thin Wet Edge with either TotalBoat Special Brushing Thinner 100 or mineral spirits (5-10% by volume). To ensure a proper cure, apply 2-3 thin coats rather than thick coats. Color shown: TotalBoat Wet Edge Classic Whaler Blue.	Rolling & Tipping For best results, the person holding the roller "rolls" vertically, applying an even coat of paint. The person with the brush "tips" horizontally. We recommend a natural bristle brush or a badger hair brush for tipping, instead of a foam brush, which will drag the paint away, rather than level it. Color shown: TotalBoat Wet Edge Fighting Lady Yellow.	Spraying When spraying, thin Wet Edge with xylene (thinning percentage varies by the sprayer and conditions, typically 15-20%). Tip: Don't apply paint too thickly, or the finish will not dry properly. Color shown: TotalBoat Wet Edge Sea Foam.

This picture is the boat hull finished with TotalBoat Wet Edge paint (both white and red), and TotalBoat Gleam varnish on the deck."	Kent Lewis' 1980 AMF Sunfish, "Viper" Wet Edge Kingston Gray "We used TotalBoat Epoxy for fiberglass repairs, then TotalBoat Primer. Faired a few spots with TotalFair, sanded with 100 grit. Used Wet Edge Kingston Gray to paint the Sunfish VIPER. Rolled and tipped the second coat of Wet Edge, thinned 5 percent because temp was 80F plus."
