SCUBAPRO Spare Regulators

Dive with confidence with a spare regulator (also referred to as an octopus, or octo), an important piece of breathing equipment that can be used in emergency situations should your regulator malfunction. This auxiliary emergency second stage can also be used provide air to a diving partner with malfunctioning equipment.

SCUBAPRO offers two models with a classic second stage design (the R095 and R0195) plus the fifth-generation AIR2 inflator regulator, which combines a backup regulator with a BCD's buoyancy control system in one compact, at-the-ready unit.

AIR2 Inflator Regulator

Now in its 5th generation, the SCUBAPRO AIR2 (short for Alternate Inflator Reg) delivers air as smoothly as most primary second stages and is always within easy reach if needed (unlike traditional dangling octos).

As a BCD power inflator, the AIR2 fits comfortably in the hand, and the large inflate and deflate buttons can be differentiated by both color and touch to improve ascents.

The innovative dive/pre-dive switch enables you to detune the unit when not in use, eliminating free flows, while the flexible purge cover is easy to locate and depress for quick clearing—even when wearing thick gloves. The large bite tabs on the mouthpiece provide a secure grip in high-stress situations.

R095 Octopus

An economical second stage featuring classic downstream valve technology, the SCUBAPRO R095 Octo is designed to be extremely easy to use in an emergency. It pairs with the Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) to provide a smooth, hassle-free breathing performance. You never have to worry about control knobs or switches; simply put it in your mouth and breathe.

The R095 Octo also features a reversible hose attachment for easy use with sidemount, pony, or deco tanks, an ultra-comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece, high-visibility yellow purge cover, and a 1-meter hose that makes it that much easier to share air with a buddy in need.

R195 Octopus

A modern second stage design that combines a classic downstream valve with a large diaphragm, the SCUBAPRO R195 Octo also features a functional purge button and VIVA switch for smooth and easy breathing and simple operation. The full high-visibility yellow cover and extra-long hose with reversible attachment make it easy to see when it comes time to share air with a buddy in need.

A sensible safe second stage for all divers, the R195 Octo is also perfect for deco tanks thanks to its extra-long hose and reversible hose attachment. It also features an ultra-comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece, a rugged reinforced technopolymer casing, and durable metal valve housing.
