Kershaw’s Pub series offers a line of everything-included knives designed by Belarusian custom knifemaker Dmitry Sinkevich. Each Pub is equipped with a versatile blade and a handy bottle opener accompanied by a slotted screwdriver tip. To deploy, push down on what appears to be a key ring attachment and the blade will move out of the compact handle. The blade is a modified sheepsfoot with a straight edge and clipped rather than rounded tip. For striking good looks that complement the Pub’s integrated convenience, the knife handle has an anodized aluminum front scale and stainless steel back.

High-Performance Steel A budget friendly, reliable, top-of-the-line Chinese produced steel, 8Cr13MoV steel has carbon and slightly less nickel for hardness and edge retention. Kershaw’s precision heat treated 8Cr13MoV steel strongly takes and holds an edge and offers wear resistance that can withstand damage from both abrasive and adhesive wear. 8Cr13MoV is a value blade steel featuring high performing characteristics.	Attractive Blade Finish Depending on the knife’s design, Kershaw’s non-reflective stonewashed finish may be either pronounced or subtle, but in both cases, it transforms the blade by creating a fade-resistant, scuffed look that hides smudges and fingerprints. A stonewashed finish, achieved by tumbling a blade with ceramic stones, enhances a blade’s rugged appearance as well as its indestructibility during field use.	Durable Handle A reinforced polymer of thin strands of carbon tightly woven, carbon fiber is tremendously strong yet lightweight. Strong weaves of bonded carbon atoms are used to compose carbon fiber in both Kershaw high-end knife handles and Zero Tolerance premium materials. With solid strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, carbon fiber is an excellent, high-performing, high-quality knife handle.Stainless steel contains chromium to equip knife handles to withstand rusting and provide corrosion resistance. Fast Deployment The classic way to open a knife, manual action knives use a thumb hole, thumb stud or built-in flipper to safely deploy the blade. Holding the knife level at 90o angle, quickly and smoothly flick the wrist to maneuver the blade out of the handle. Place fingers along handle scales and apply pressure inward on the blade with the thumb. Manual systems do not employ mechanical assist to open a knife.	Secure Locking System With no blade play, security and safety, the Friction Lock is a very strong detent that keeps the blade secure and open during use. The user’s pressure applied to the knife keeps the lock open, and the lock prevents the knife from opening randomly or closing during use. To close the knife, push the blade until the detent weakens, and keep fingers clear of the blade while gripping the handle.	Manual Flipper Flippers on manual-open knives require user to push with quick strength until blade deploys. Some manual flippers disappear when blade deploys, others become a finger guard. Manual flippers appeal to inexperienced users as well as experienced users who prefer a classic, old-style opening. In both cases, ambidextrous flipper works as index finger applies pressure while closed knife sits in palm.
