In addition, OWYN tests every lot of every ingredient before manufacturing. Using a skip lot ingredient testing method and accredited 3rd party laboratories, our contract manufacturer tests for the presence of Top 8 allergens using Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) testing procedures. Tests are done on milk, soy, egg, wheat, peanut, fish, shellfish and tree nuts (almond and walnut only). OWYN then uses accredited 3rd party allergen testing laboratories to test for additional tree nut allergens not tested by the contract manufacturer, including cashew, pecan, macadamia, coconut, brazil, pistachio & hazelnut.
