No one knows the origins of corned beef, but most believe it came to be when people started preserving meats through the process of salt-curing. But, regardless of when it all started, you will believe that Boston Spice must have been ones to invent the use of pickling spices in the pot for the tastiest Corned Beef or pickled vegetables you have eaten. Use your stovetop or slow cooker. Okay, we did not invent it, but I think we perfected it and so will you!

Boston Spice combined 14 different herbs and spices to make "Southie - Pickling Spice Blend." blend. Named after South Boston, aka "Southie", the home of the St Patrick's Day Parade.


Place a 2.5lb to 5lb piece of corned beef in a pot or slow cooker and added enough cold water to cover the meat by about 1 inch. Add 1/4 cup of our "Southie - Corned Beef and Pickling Spice Blend" to the pot.	If using a slow cooker: Set your slow cooker to high, cover, and let it cook for about 3 hours or until fork tender. If using your stove top: Bring the water to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook 2 1/2 to 4 hours (depending on the size of your brisket) or until fork tender.	Slice and enjoy the best corned beef brisket you have ever eaten. Slice it thick or thin to make Reuben Sandwiches. Spread some mustard on some Rye bread and have a great corned beef and rye sandwich. The possibilities are endless HUZZAH! HUZZAH!! HUZZAH!!!
