Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas is the beloved holiday tale about The Grinch-a bitter, grouchy, cave-dwelling creature who resides on the snowy Mount Crumpit with his dog Max. His heart is "two sizes too small" and from his cave, he can hear the noisy Christmas festivities that take place in Whoville below. Continuously annoyed, he devises a wicked scheme to "Steal Christmas." After crudely disguises himself as Santa Claus, stealing all of the Whos' Christmas presents, and vowing to throw them into the abyss, the Grinch expects the Whos to let out bitter and sorrowful cries, but instead, they sing a joyous Christmas song. The Grinch is puzzled until it dawns on him that "maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more" than just presents and feasting. The Grinch's shrunken heart suddenly grows three sizes. The Grinch reforms and returns to the village to return all of Christmas to the Whos before participating in their Christmas feast.
