The Serenity Prayer
The Serenity Prayer is not new, although in modern times it is attributed to Reinhold Niebuhr. Epictetus had a version, the Jewish philosopher Solomon ibn Gabirol had a version, and even W.W. Bartley had a version with a Mother Goose rhyme dated 1695. The prayer is simple yet powerful:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Serenity Prayer: May I have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Mindful Glamour Ritual: Pause...Slide your All Weather Rose Gold Bangles on one by one. Focus on being present, and in the Now. Each intention you make will be with you throughout the day...Go, Be it
Thought: Inner peace can be attained no matter the circumstance. We must live in the present moment and take joy from this, keeping in mind that intentions do influence outcomes.
