AD220 Waterproof Flashlight

The AD220 by Olympia is a high-performance rugged flashlight designed for any situation. It uses a CREE XP-G LED to enable 220 lumens in high-brightness mode and is crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum with Type II hard-anodized, anti-abrasive finish. The textured body offers an anti-freeze non-slip grip. The AD220 is powered by two CR123A batteries (included), has five light settings including strobe and SOS for emergency situations, is waterproof to IPX-8 and impact resistant to 1.5 meters. This is the brightest flashlight in our AD line. With a 115 meter beam range it is perfect for those situations where a bright, distant light is necessary such as hiking through the woods or trying to see down a long trail.

Light Output

Light Output is used to rate the brightness of a light source and is generally shown in lumens. A lumen is a measurement integrating the visible light output emitted in all directions from the light source.

Runtime

Runtime is the duration of time a flashlight will operate, using fresh batteries, until its beam intensity drops below 10%. It is measured for each output brightness setting.

Beam Range/Intensity

Beam Range is determined by measuring the furthest distance where the brightness of the beam is equivalent to a full moon on a clear night in an open field.

Beam Intensity is the maximum intensity along the central axis of the beam of light and is used to rate the brightness of a light.

Waterproof

Most Olympia flashlights are IPX8 submersible. This means that they are tested by being submersed in water at the specified depth for 4 hours with no harmful effects to performance. Olympia flashlights are also tested for impact resistance and can survive a fall of up to 1.5 meter.
