Theravent uses your own breathing in conjunction with micro-valve technology to target the real source of snoring.

Snoring starts when the muscles that surround your throat relax during sleep. Your air passageway narrows, and the air you breathe in moves more quickly, triggering the tissue vibrations that cause snoring.

As you breathe in, the micro-valves open, then, as you breathe out, the Theravent strip partially closes, creating positive pressure in your throat. This pressure opens up your throat, quieting the tissue vibrations that cause snoring.


Step 1: Remove Theravent from backer card Theravent should be applied to a clean, dry nose just before you are ready to go to bed. For best results ensure the skin is free of lotions, oils or moisture.	Step 2: Apply Theravent For the first few applications it may be helpful to apply Theravent while using the mirror to align the center hold with the center of the nose.	Step 3: Check the Seal After you have adhered Theravent to your nose, check around the edges of the device to ensure you have a good seal. Hint: To check the seal, place your finger over the center hole. When you blow out, you should not feel any air escaping around the outside of the device.	Step 4: Now you’re ready for a quiet night! While falling asleep, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. After you fall asleep, you'll naturally return to breathing through your nose. If you have trouble falling asleep or if you wake up during the night and are not able to return to sleep, simply remove the device and start again the next night. Over time you will adjust to sleeping with the device through the night.
