The Needlepoint Holly

The Needlepoint Holly is one of the larger cultivators in the Holly plant family! These incredible shrubs will be a sure source of yard envy when planted in your home landscape! Their hardy foliage stands the test of cold winters and their versatility makes them a perfect all around plant for everything from hedges, bordering, mass foundation planting, and even as stand alone specimen pieces. The Needlepoint Holly produces profuse white flowers during spring and into summer. These fragrant blooms eventually form the iconic red berries of the Holly plant in the middle of fall and early winter. These berries are a beautiful contrast from the lush green of its foliage as well as its surrounding landscape. These berries are not edible for humans, however they attract wild life such as birds and squirrels and are an important source of food for them during the cold months of winter.
