CAUTION: Before dissasembling your phone, discharge your battery below 25%! A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire or explode if accidentally punctured.

BEFORE YOU START: Please create a backup of your iPhone.


Step 1 Remove the two Pentalobe screws on the bottom edge of the iPhone.	Step 2 Use a Heat Gun or Hair Dryer, to apply mild heat to the lower edge of the iPhone, for approx. one minute.	Step 3 Apply a suction cup to the lower left corner of the display assembly. Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure, to create a slight gap between the front panel and rear case. Place the flat edge of a spudger into the gap between the screen and rear case, directly above the headphone jack, and twist the spudger to widen the gap. Slide the spudger up the side of the phone to separate the adhesive and free the clips.	Step 4 Use the suction cup to open the display, breaking the last of the adhesive. CAUTION: Do not open the display further than 90º, as it is still connected at the top by three cables that may break if stretched too far.


Step 5 Remove two Phillips screws securing the Battery Connector Bracket. Remove the bracket.	Step 6 Use the point of a spudger to disconnect the Battery Connector by prying it straight up from the logic board.	Step 7 Remove the our Phillips screws securing the Display Cable Bracket. Remove the bracket.	Step 8 Disconnect the Front Camera Flex Cable. Disconnect the Digitizer Flex Cable. Disconnect the Display Cable.


Step 9 Remove the front panel.	Step 10 Use the point of a spudger to lift and disconnect the antenna cable from the bottom end of the logic board. Use the point of a spudger to lift up and disconnect the Lightning connector ribbon cable from its socket on the logic board.	Step 11 Remove the three Phillips screws securing the Lightning connector bracket. Remove the bracket	Step 12 Use the point of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the antenna cable from the Dock Connector. Use the point of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the antenna cable from the top of the logic board. Remove the cable.


Step 13 Remove the six Phillips screws securing the speaker to the rear case.	Step 14 Remove the Loud Speaker	Step 15 Use the point of a spudger to disconnect the Taptic Engine flex cable from the lower flex cable.	Step 16 Remove the two screws securing the Taptic Engine. Remove the Taptic Engine.


Step 17 Remove the folllowing screws securing the Dock Connector flex cable.	Step 18 Insert an opening pick under the Dock Connector flex cable and slowly slice through the adhesive holding the cable to the rear case.	Step 19 Use an opening pick to pry the left microphone off the edge of the rear case.	Step 20 Insert the point of a spudger into the headphone jack and wiggle it slightly to loosen the headphone jack from the bottom edge of the case. Remove the Dock Connector. Congratulations! You have now successfully removed your Dock Connector! To reinstall the iPhone, use the previous steps in this manual and apply them backwards.
