Dr. Darrin Starkey has been a board certified naturopathic physician since 2000 and is a member of the American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA). He has worked for Trace Minerals Research (TMR) since 1991 and is currently the Director of Training and Education. He is considered an expert in the field of minerals and specializes in trace mineral nutrition, balance, and deficiency, while focusing his training and education on the building blocks of a healthy diet and the important role trace minerals play in health and nutrition. He has lectured since 1996 with Dr. Alexander Schauss, Ph.D., FACN, and Senior Director of Natural and Medicinal Products Research at AIBMR Life Sciences in Puyallup, WA. He has expanded his knowledge of clinical nutrition from Dr. Chris D. Meletis, N.D., former Dean of Naturopathic Medicine and Chief Medical Officer at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Both Dr. Schauss and Dr. Meletis are members of TMR’s Science and Research Advisory Board.
Dr. Starkey has spent almost three decades studying and closely monitoring human illness and the health benefits and healing properties of ionic trace minerals and their importance within the human body.
