40-6516: The Essentials Kit

Includes a laser detector to get you up and running, indoors and out

Incudes the laser, LCD laser detector, red laser enhancement glasses, and 4xAA batteries - exactly what you need to level both indoor and outdoor jobsites. This kit does not include a tripod or grade rod - if you need these two items, check out Johnson's 40-6517 or 99-026K models.

Simple operation

This laser operates in the horizontal (self-leveling) plane or in the vertical (manual-leveling) plane. Unlock the pendulum lock, and the laser will self-level and begin to rotate. This is our simplest to operate laser, designed to get you up and running quickly without the complex bells and whistles you don't need.

Recommended uses

This laser is ideal for indoor jobs such as drop ceilings, wainscoting, cabinet leveling, and other similar tasks, and for outdoor jobs like fence post alignment and leveling, grading, excavation, and more. For outdoor work, you'll need the included laser detector to locate the laser beam.
