The Three Steps

Heel Strike

Your barefoot strikes the ground at a 20 degree angle and so do Receptor Shoes. This angle gives you the momentum to follow through in the stride.

Midstance

When the supporting foot holds the greatest weight burden and is in full ground contact, Receptor supports your foot to stabilize the whole body.

Push Off

The sole flexes like the ball of your foot and gives you freedom when you push off the ground.

Yak Leather

Ecco Yak leather is significantly stronger than cowhide and can be made thinner to achieve the same strength. This allows the Yak leather uppers to be lighter and more breathable.

Gore-Tex

All Gore-Tex products use the Gore-Tex membrane to ensure comfort. It is completely waterproof and permeable for water vapor. The result: water from the outside will not penetrate and perspiration escapes easily. Feet stay dry and comfortable in footwear made with GORE-TEX Footwear.

Ecco Hydromax Treatment

Hydromax is a treatment that is done during the leather tanning process to achieve a highly water resistant finish while maintaining the natural breathability of the leather.

Direct Injection Production / Ecco Fluidform Technology

Developed by Ecco over many years, the Direct-injection process is a technology that enables us to create ergonomically advanced soles. By injecting a resilient, shock-absorbent material directly into the shoe mould, we bond the sole to the upper without glue or stitching. The result is a sole that fits naturally, and a light yet cushioned step.
