This material is thicker and more durable than other gels, and it is coated on both sides to provide more consistent and accurate colors.

Choose from a range of reds, yellows, blues, and greens to punch up an image with color and create mood or drama.

Use Rogue Gel colors individually, or combine complimentary colors on the same flash to create exciting color transitions in your image.

Labeled for Ease-of-Use

Rogue Gels are individually labeled with the LEE Filter color and the gel’s measured light absorption value (f/stop loss).

We print directly onto each gel to avoid using labels that peel-off or fade with use.

Correction filters are also labeled with their Kelvin color temperature and corresponding camera white balance icon.

Background Color with a Gradient

Tip: Combine Rogue Gels with a Rogue FlashBender on your background light. Attaching a FlashBender gives you the ability to creatively shape and feather the light as desired.

Attaching Rogue Gels

You do not need to buy expensive or bulky gel holders, or use sticky hook-and-loop to attach Rogue Flash Gels to your flash.

Rogue Flash Gels attach quickly and securely to speedlights using our patented tabbed Rogue Gel Band. To attach a Rogue Gel simply pull one of the band's stretchy silicone rubber finger tabs and slide the gel underneath.

Create Warm Afternoon Sunlight

Accent lights are often used to focus attention on an important feature in an image. Rim and hair lights are used to create separation between the subject and background. Place colored gels on these lights to compliment or add color to an image, or to enhance mood or drama.

Tip: Use a Full CTO gel on your hair or rim light to simulate late afternoon sunlight.

Color Balance Your Flash

Use color correction gels to improve color balance when shooting with flash in mixed lighting conditions. These gels adjust the color temperature of the flash to match ambient light sources.

Use color correction gels on your speedlights and white balance your camera to improve your color balance in mixed lighting environments.

Tip: To color balance your flash, identify your light source, select the appropriate color correction gel(s), then attach the gel(s) to your flash. It is important to then set a custom white balance, or set the camera to the same white balance setting as shown on the attached correction gel.

CTO Gel with Flash

CTO (color temperature orange) Gels can be used to color balance flash to ambient tungsten and halogen lights or to add pleasing warmth to skin tones.

Rogue Flash Gel Kits include CTO, CTB and Plus Green color correction gels.

Use CTO gels to color balance flash to incandescent, tungsten, or halogen ambient light sources.

Use CTB gels to color balance flash to shade, or cooler ambient light sources.

Use Plus Green gels in combination with CTO gels to color balance flash to fluorescent ambient light sources.
