- HISTORIC ORIGIN. Lastra is an italian term for slab which are used to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli’s 15 years of partnership with Vietri is the foundation of this dinnerware. He masterminded all the details into the entire collection.
- INCOMPARABLE QUALITY. Lastra product uses stoneware clay which is non-porous in nature. It does not retain color or smell. It does not absorb food particles lessening bacterial formation. Another good thing is BPA free to make it ideal for the children’s meal.

Signor Stefano Roselli is the master molder for a ceramics cooperative located in a small town seven miles outside of Florence, and he is the creator behind this collection. VIETRI has worked with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati for close to 15 years, creating and bringing to market dinnerware collections, vases, urns, and other home decor products.
INSPIRED IN ITALY
A region in central Italy, Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history, craftsmanship, and influence on culture. The birthplace of the Renaissance, Tuscany is often called the art palace of Italy, and many of the world's greatest works of art come from the region. Ceramics have a long legacy in the area and maintain their place of importance in the region today.
