Colorful Foliage
Spirea comes in a variety of colors including classic green, gold, variegated yellow and green, and a show stopper that changes from red, to yellow, to orange. And top it off with pink, purple, and red blooms, there is a spirea for everyone.

Non-Invasive
Spirea has been bred to be non-invasive, meaning it will not set seed to spread. All of the energy it would spend developing seed goes into blooming instead. It does it all with the same good looks, drought tolerance, and deer resistance that you expect from spirea!

Hardiness Zones
To learn whether Spirea will tolerate conditions where you live, search for your hardiness zone through The United States Department of Agriculture.
Spirea grows well in hardiness zones 3-8, meaning it can handle heat up to zone 8 and cold down to zone 3. The absolute hottest zone in the country is 13 and the coldest is 1.

Dormancy
As a deciduous shrub, Spirea needs to go dormant over the winter in order to preform well the following season. They will drop their leaves in the fall and grow new foliage in the spring.
Spirea ship from Michigan, where they are dormant November-March. If you order during winter, store your shrub in a cool place and keep the soil slightly moist until you can plant it in spring.
