Featuring Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module (HDAM) technology, the SR6008 Network Home Theater Receiver delivers unparalleled sound clarity. HDAM technology provides an ultra-fast slew rate for true wideband response and maximum dynamic range to deliver optimum sound quality with today's high-resolution audio formats.

In addition to HDAM technology, the SR6008 also features current feedback instead of the typical voltage feedback configuration. Current feedback technology provides a wide closed-loop bandwidth and very high slew rate, delivering superior fidelity with wideband audio sources.

Expanded Suite of Audyssey Technologies

Audyssey MultEQ XT provides automatic room acoustic measurement and correction. Via the supplied microphone, the system analyzes sound from all the speakers (including the subwoofer) and generates precision digital filters for each channel to provide the smoothest, most natural tonal balance. With MultEQ XT, the sound from the speakers and the acoustics of the room are truly harmonized, something not possible with conventional frequency-only compensation.

Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides real-time acoustic compensation for a smooth, natural tonal balance at any listening level, and Audyssey Dynamic Volume tames loud jumps in sound level, such as commercials, for enjoyable listening even at reduced volume levels. The SR6008 is Audyssey Installer Pro ready.

Full Range of Network Sources

Designed for today's connected lifestyle, the SR6008 lets you enjoy a broad range of music streaming, with thousands of Internet radio stations from streaming music services including SiriusXM, Pandora, and Spotify (subscriptions required). The SR6008 is also DLNA 1.5 and Windows 8/RT compatible, letting you access your favorite audio content from your PC or Windows tablet via your home network.

Add the optional RX-101 Wireless Bluetooth Adapter to enjoy streaming music wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet.

Apple AirPlay

The SR6008 includes AirPlay, which lets you stream music from your iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. It also lets you access your iTunes content on your PC or Mac via your home network.

Wide Range of Configuration Options

You can set the SR6008 up for a number of speaker configuration options, including adding front height or wide speakers for a dramatically expanded front soundstage, thanks to Audyssey DSX and DTS Neo:X decoding technologies. You can also configure it for 5-channel operation in the main room and connect a pair of speakers located in another room. These multi-zone options let you enjoy surround sound in one room while family members enjoy different digital audio in another.

The SR6008 can also be configured for front main (L/R) bi-amplified speaker operation if you own bi-amp-capable speakers.

Seven HDMI Inputs are 3D and 4K Ultra HD Compatible

With seven HDMI inputs (including one conveniently located on the front panel), you can connect a broad range of source components, and all HDMI inputs are 3D and 4K Ultra HD (3,840 by 2,160 pixels) compatible. There's an HDMI output for the main room and a second HDMI output that lets you send a different program to another room. With HDMI standby pass-through, the SR6008 lets you enjoy programs on your TV (such as newscasts) via your TV's speakers instead of the surround sound system's speakers.

The InstaPrevue function lets you monitor all your active HDMI sources via a multiple picture-in-picture preview function and switch between your favorite programs easily.

Setup Assistant for Easy Use

With the on-screen graphical display that combines large, clear text and colorful icons, it's quick and easy to optimize the SR6008 for your particular speaker configuration and source equipment. The Marantz setup assistant walks you through the whole process.

The multi-way speaker connections on the rear panel are banana plug compatible and color coded for quick and easy connection, and the supplied color-coded speaker cable labels ensure correct speaker cable hookup the first time.

The included remote control features discrete source selection buttons that let you choose your preferred source with the touch of one button.

High-Power, 7-Channel Power Amplifier Design

For optimum sound quality, the SR6008 features identical power amp circuitry for all channels, including discrete power amplifier output stage design. Rated at 110 watts into 8 ohms for each of the 7 channels, the receiver provides high power and wide dynamic range with low distortion for superb surround sound.

Wide Range of Control Options

In addition to the supplied remote control, the SR6008 offers a number of other control options. With the free Marantz Remote App, you can easily control the receiver from your iOS or Android mobile device. And, the SR6008 features an RS-232C serial port for connection to an automated home control system, as well as I/P control via the RJ-45 LAN port.

Front-Panel USB Input

With a built-in USB port, the SR6008 supports digital music playback and charging with an iPod, iPhone, or iPad, and playback from a USB device.

Dynamic Audio Expander Improves MP3 Tracks

The Marantz M-DAX Dynamic Audio Expander function breathes new life into compressed music sources such as MP3 tracks for a more vivid, dynamic listening experience.
