What is matcha?
Matcha is a finely ground powder made from the whole green tea leaf. The all-natural superfood contains energy-boosting caffeine and l-theanine. This combination results in an extended-release of energized calm that won't leave you feeling the crash or jitters associated with coffee.

How is matcha different from regular green tea?
Matcha, unlike regular green tea, is shade-grown. The plant produces extra chlorophyll, amino acids, and vitamins to grow with limited sun exposure. For us, this concentration of nutrients means that for every cup of matcha consumed, you'll be getting over 3x the antioxidants as regular green tea.
Does matcha contain caffeine?
Yes. Matcha contains about 25-35 mg of caffeine, or 1/3 of a cup of coffee.
Does matcha contain ECGC?
Yes. Matcha naturally contains the unique plant compound ECGC that is known to have a potentially positive impact on health. It is known to possibly support weight loss, reduce inflammation, and may help protect the immune system against heart and brain disease.*
What is the difference between Premium Latte Grade and Culinary Grade?
Premium Latte Grade is an earlier harvest of tea leaves and has a vibrant green color and earthy, rich green tea flavor. We recommend this grade for its smoother taste for more matcha-forward lattes, smoothies, and shakes, or even be consumed on its own with hot water. Culinary Grade comes from later harvest tea leaves and ideal when adding to other ingredients to make recipes. Some culinary grades are very bitter and are best suited for cooking and baking recipes. However, our culinary grade is a higher quality that you can also use to create tasty matcha lattes, smoothies, shakes, and more.
