Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I received resin that was cloudy, solid, or crystallized. Is the product still ok to use?
A: Yes, this happens in cold temperatures. The product is fine, but must be returned to a liquid state before use. Place the sealed container of crystallized resin/hardener into a basin containing hot tap water (140-150°F, reheat as needed) until the product turns into a liquid. While heating, gently shake or stir to ensure all crystals melt.
Q: What coverage can I expect?
A: At 1/8” thickness: 6 sq. ft. per mixed 2-Qt. Kit; at ¼” thickness: 3 sq. ft. per mixed 2-Qt. Kit.
Q: Why do I need multiple coats? Won’t one thick coat do the trick?
A: Multiple thin layers give you a sealer/leveling coat and as much build as you would like without the high risk for errors, bubbles, or a wavy surface.
Q: Can I use it on my bar top outside?
A: You can, but it will be exposed to UV rays that can make it look amber or delaminate over time. You’ll want to overcoat it with a quality UV-filtering varnish.
