Q: What is the difference between MCT oil and coconut oil?

A: MCT oil is considered to be a concentrated form of virgin coconut oil, consisting purely of capric and caprylic acid. Coconut oil is composed of a more extensive fatty acid profile, consisting of MCTs as well as LCTs and remains solid at room temperature. Our MCT oil remains liquid even in your refrigerator and is completely free of LCTs as well as any other fatty acids.

Q: What is a safe dosage of MCT oil?

A: Begin with one tablespoon of our MCT oil daily and increase gradually to three tablespoons until your body has adjusted. MCT oil may cause mild intestinal discomfort if too much is consumed at once, particularly on an empty stomach.

Q: Is MCT oil suitable for cooking?

A: While MCT oil is suitable for cooking at temperatures below 375°F, we recommend consuming MCT oil in its raw form or in warm foods, in order to preserve the stability of MCTs.

Q: What is the shelf life of Anjou MCT Oil?

A: MCT oil may be stored at room temperature for up to two years. To maximize freshness and further extend its shelf life, we recommend storing our MCT oil in the refrigerator.

Q: What's the ratio of C-8 and C-10? Why I can't see it on the bottle?

A: Please rest assured that our MCT oil was very pure which contain 52% of C-8 and 45% of C-10.
This is the first version of our MCT oil and we’ve decided to update our product label include the ingredient list and BPA free label on our next batch of product. Once the next batch arrives, we will immediately change the ingredient list in our pictures.

Q: Is this MCT oil organic? Why is the container plastic?

A: It is extracted from 100% Organic Coconuts however, it is processed to obtain the Medium-chain triglycerides and we cannot label the finished product with the USDA Organic label.
Our MCT Oil is packaged in an HDPE plastic bottle which is free from BPA. Products shipped in HDPE can be shipped much more efficiently and are protected during transit. We learned that our customer worried about the bottle since we didn't print the BPA free label on our recent batch. Please kindly note that we've contacted our supplier to re-design the label so that our customer won't worry about the BPA issue of our bottle.
