ZVS flyback drive circuit

Output voltage is up to 800 times of the input voltage

This flyback drive circuit, which is used to drive the ignition coil, has Zero Voltage Switching, so it is called as "ZVS circuit". With big power, low heat and reliability, it is widely used in the drive spark gap tesla coil (SGTC), Jacob, ladders, Marx generator, etc. Icstation ZVS driver kit supports DC 12-30V voltage input and high voltage output which is up to 800 times of the input voltage. And it has high arc that generated up to 3cm, which is ideal for electricity science experiment.

The arc length is about 1-2cm when input 12V/5A. Lager the input voltage/current, lager the output power, also longer the arc. The arc is up to 5cm when input 30V/10A(max). Please check the input power if the arc is too short.

1. Please pay attention to the positive and negative signs of the power supply on the drive board. Avoid the polarity reversal when connecting wires. Otherwise, it may burn the board.

2. After wiring, please check and compare with the wiring diagram to confirm that it is correct before turning on the power. Firstly, please use low voltage and current to test. Touch the high voltage cap and check whether it is normal.

3. High Voltage Is Dangerous!!! Keep away for safety! Please do not play it just for fun and keep out of the reach of children!

4. Please do not use arc ignition for fun and please pay attention to fire prevention! Customers who do not understand electronic principles please purchase with caution.

Trouble: When I hooked it up to two different DC sources (a 12V lead-acid battery and a 18V 4 amps DC switching supply), there is no sound or activity from the flyback transformer.

Trouble: It can't output the 800 X of input voltage you described. I only get 125 X.

Advice: The power supply should be DC 12-24V and the current should be 5-10A. Insufficient current will also influence the outputs. Please provide enough current to the module.
